On the eve of the new school year

I've had a busy few months in the sewing room, but there's lot's more to accomplish, so I decided to join Finn's New Year's Eve challenge and finish up some UFOs. I've got a good start on my Words Fail Me quilt, I need a few more blocks for my newspaper quilt, there's an applique project I've never posted about, and my T-square quilt that I'm slowly handquilting, but have lost interest in. In some overly-optimistic mood, I put the finish date as 2007 on the label, but I barely touched it this year at all. It's got to get done and then I'll post a picture. And I want to finish up my Funglies, and border and hand-quilt the pink tic tac toe. Quite the list. And I did want to start a string quilt for a friend as well.

one summer I decided I was finishing UFO's -- I spent the summer and fall doing them and then was soooooo happy when I could report them "all done". Some I gave to others to finish -- they loved them I no longer did; some I repurposed into new projects that interested me, and some I just got done... Its well worth focusing and working through the pile as the feeling when accomplished is like nothing else...

You're going to be a busy girl! I have hand quilting on the frame too but I don't think it will get done any time soon.
