Stars on the wall

After months in the drawer, I sewed together the panels of this quilt I begin more than a year ago. I was stalled about how to machine quilt it and initially sewed the stars into panels for quilt-as-you-go. I decided against that but still had a mental block against it. Now it is pieced and pressed and starched and ready to layer. Today I was inspired by deep freeze  temperatures and the need to get some quilts finished. Sometimes I'm my own worst enemy.

I think most of us get stalled on our projects trying to decide how we are going to quilt them. I really like this quilt.

So I was wondering, what are your feelings on Qayg with strips of blocks? I am in a quadary about that on a quilt I pieced all the blocks with birds...would appreciate some feedback

I made one quilt as you go quilt and I wasn't crazy about doing a quilt that way. I love this star piece! So scrappy looking. I see that there are some other blocks in there too - broken dishes, and nine patches?

This is great Brenda, especially "if" and "when" you get it finished. I too get held up with quilting. Maybe this time you'll get on a roll and it will flow right into a full grown quilt!!

Have you seen those "B" blocks you sent me laying around anywhere? I can't seem to find them…..
