I've got my friendship star quilt laid out
and a few rows sewn together.
It's definitely scrappy, based on a loose colour scheme
of neutrals, burnt orange into red and any shade of green.
Yes, I know some of the stars spin the other way
and that some blocks are shoofly
and others are just plain nine-patches.
This is a marriage quilt that speaks to the complexities and fun of marriage.
The friends who are getting it
had a really short engagement
and there was no time to make a wedding quilt.
I'm linking up with Judy at Patchwork Times.

I like the scrapiness, the variety of neutrals, and spinning both directions. A lot to look at and enjoy.
I like this a lot (and your analogy with marriage is a good one!) I think the scrappiness and the mix of blocks etc makes it more appealing, more individual.
LOVE this quilt. Makes me want to go sew right now. ;)
Love,Love,just stunning!
Exactly my kind of quilt, love it, thanks for sharing.
I love everything about this one!
Love how it is turning out. And so true to marriage.
Look at all that scrappy lovliness. And I love all the low volume backgrounds. Its going to be a beautiful quilt.
This is a gorgeous quilt, and the variety makes it even better. If the couple doesn't like it, you can give it to me!
great colors and neutrals!
So sweet and mellow! Love this wonderful scrappy quilt idea.:)
