O little town of Bethlehem

These handmade African hut tree ornaments with beaded hanging loops
were given to me by a friend
and I'm sharing them with you here.

I like the simplicitiy of the design,
and how a little fabric and stuffing
can evoke the feeling of a place very far away from me.

After the family celebrations are over,
I'm going to pull out the scraps and put some of these together.

Merry Christmas!

A friend of mine just returned from west africa. I hope you don't mind if I use your little huts for inspiration to make some for her. I love them. Merry Christmas.

These are gorgeous. Sew day in January?? Permission to flatteringly imitate????

Thanks for the "sew" verb! I have not worked on my words for a while. Time to get back to them.
