Thanks for all your comments on my scrappy flowers and buds.
I made a few bigger leaves today
and auditioned backgrounds,
finally settling on this black Lipinski print
These blocks are big -- about 17 by 20 inches
Here's the full blown flower on the right, and three buds on the left.
I've started to hand applique the leaves on the left block.
This may be the first of a series of blocks, or maybe not.

Do keep going - they look stunning.
Just as the gardens start to go dormant for the fall/winter yours is blooming again. They are wonderful, great idea. Can't wait to see more!
They are wonderful. The black really makes them pop.

makes them pop.
These are great.
I love these blocks!
Wow, I love these happy flowers, are they being hand appliqued?
That black really brings out the colors, at the same time it's a subtle "print". Good choice. Love the flower and buds and leaves! I haven't done much applique... maybe I should get some together for TV time. Thanks for the inspiration.
Hugs,
