In a few days,
Tonya Ricucci's Word Play Quilts book is coming out. She's been a great supporter and cheerleader of my work over the past few years, ever since I ventured to join her Winter class a few years back. I sweated over those letters, and I really felt pushed out of my comfort zone, but I love the quilt that resulted.
My letters were wonkier than wonky and I remember struggling with the e's, but it started my love of writing with fabric.
So I kept going. Here's my "To Be" quilt, using the repetitive element of B's and a fun play on words.

They just keep getting better. I must dig into my archives and find some of my word quilts...
Those are fantastic! I especially like the Bs, bees, etc! What great inspiration....I think I'm going to have to try making some words of my own!
HOW FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will you let me post one on my blog with a link to you for my giveaway and give you a chance in the drawing?
And the letter-filled journey continues . . . WOO HOO! We all owe Tonya SO much for her inspiration!
I love both of the quilts!!!very nice work.I am at the beginning stage of letters,so far I have made 3..they are really wonky.
so hard for me to think of you struggling with letters. you might have struggled, but wow that first quilt is fantastic - no one would ever know you had difficulties. wonderful quilts.
I had totally forgotten about your 'deep and crisp and even' quilt, but since I saw it I want to make a blue and white trees quilt for january/february . It captures the cold and dark season so very well
