Houses, houses, houses

I've had houses on my mind lately. We're not in a flood zone where I live in Winnipeg, but the guys from my house were sandbagging at our friends' river property last week. So far, so good.
I started some wonky houses with leftover word fabric, brights, and b/w fabrics. I'm hoping to get this to throw size for the couch in my office/sewing room. It will have more wonky houses, some trees, perhaps some flowers, and lots of lime green, as well as words. I've made some letters, but they're not sewn into words yet.

My guild The Strip Piecers, is making house quilts for people helped by Mennonite Disaster Service. We made lots of houses, mixed them up, and then put them together so they don't measure more than 100 inches around the perimeter. I've almost finished one, and took the leftover houses to make a few more tops. A friend from the guild will machine quilt them after I sandwich them, and I'll bind them later.
These two hang vertically.

This one needs a little help to be square. Three different people made the four blocks, so seams allowances and measurements differ, as those of your who've done collaborative quilts know. I may have to put a border on it.

Lovely houses. I think your wonky houses are great with the mix of black and white and colors. They have a lot of attitude. Very inspiring ; )

I love house motifs and these are great! I think I need to explore this in my own work. Thanks for the inspiration.

Are any of these houses for sale or rent? Gosh, they are cute. And fabric with writing on it--I love it.
