These may be the last of the words for my WIP, Words Fail Me. I'm happy with "comfort" and "isolate," less so with the top one which says "engage." I like how the letters turned out, but the contrast is bad. I knew it was risky using the white fabric with the black letters, but thought it might work. As for the shape of them, I used only 3/4 and 1.5 inch strips, and I quite like the combination of narrow and wide strips. Live and learn.

maybe "engage" work better if you used a pigma fabric marker and draw a thin black line around the edge of all the white fabric -- outlining the letters?
sometimes it doesn't work, but the only way to know is by trying. much better to push things too far, rather than play it safe. Safe is boring. And plus, you don't have to use it. If you decide to do it over, I can find a good home for your engage!
You are getting really good at the letters. I like the wide narrow combination too.
I love "comfort". The different combinations are brilliant.
Are you going to hand quilt this one? If so how about stem stitching in black perle around the outside of the letters?
