In the spirit of scrap quilting, I'm collecting selvages for an eventual project. So far I have a big bag of various selvages, including these from my friend Audrey. This really wide one with the off-register printing marks was part of that gift. I don't have a real plan yet, but I've been following Karen Griska's Selvage Blog and there's lots of fun, edgy work going on there.Wednesday, 22 October 2008

I saw her blog and was impressed but I don't think I'll be sewing selvages any time soon. Do you want mine?
I can save my selvages for you also, if you would like them. It is amazing what Karen and group are doing with selvages. Quite unique! The house blocks are fabulous. I have a house quilt, but it is from my earlier quilting days. It is not as fun as your blocks.
I've been following Karen's blog too. I probably won't make an entire quilt but I'm going to play with a postcard or two I think!
Hi there from one Selvedge Addict to another! Just like you I am hooked on selvedges (English spelling!) I think it is so rewarding and inspiring to save and use up those lovely scraps that usually get thrown away!!!!! I have only made bags with selvedges up to now but I probably will start a quilt or something during the winter months. I love all the things you have made and thank you for your inspirations :0)
