A baby on a quilt is the best finish ever

I give away several baby quilts each year
and all I ask for in return is a photo of the baby on the quilt.
Sometimes it takes awhile, and other times it never happens,
but today I have two cute babies on quilts to share.

This is P. who seems  intrigued by his I Spy quilt.

And this is A. as a fresh newborn
on her purple Ripple Effect quilt
made from lots of Kaffe Fassett scraps and Kona solids.

Here's a smiley pix of her.
I gave A.'s mom a choice between this star scrap quilt
and the purple ripple effect quilt.

I think the way we know a quilt is truly finished
is when the new owner is enjoying the quilt.

I've got lots of other quilts in progress,
but these are the only real finishes this week.

Linking up to other Friday finishers

I love having photos of the babies on their very own quilts that I made . . . something about things coming full circle. You have two lovelies here to add to your collection.

Aw, thank you so much for sharing these baby pictures! I *adore* seeing quilt in use by their new owners. And these owners are particularly new to the world :)

I get babies on quilts from even by brother and sister who have asked for a quilt for a friend of theirs. They give the quilt and tell the parents they have to send them a picture so they can sent it to me. It is a lot of fun seeing those. I have several I haven't posted yet so maybe I will have to do that tomorrow. When all the toys are gone and the kids grow up the one thing that seems to be kept is the baby quilt.
