I'm celebrating the shortest day of the year by bringing in a bit of greenery.
I made 36 of these chevron triangle trees back in November.
Instead of putting them in one quilt,
I made several items,
including the 12-tree table runner above
and two small candle mats.
I put four of them together for a pillow
now parked in my living room.
I quilted snowflakes in vertical rows.
The runner has a vertical wobbly quilting line done with a walking foot.
And this tree quilt hanging in my hall of trees
has a back and forth loopy line between the trees.
I'm celebrating the solstice with my quilty friends tonight.
We're having appetizers and Christmas goodies
and maybe someone will actually get out their stitching.
Happy solstice!

Happy Solstice to you too! I'm a sucker for chevrons and your trees have drawn me in... love them, regardless of where they've been planted: pillow, runner, quiltlet... they're all wonderfully grand! Merry Christmas!
These are great Brenda!! I kept thinking my couch needed a cute little holiday pillow too, but just never got around to it. Your trees are so fun! You gals have fun!!
