Here's a recent commission:
a liturgical stole for a United Church of Canada minister.
My guidelines were: green, lots of fabrics, and quilting
I also made a label for it,
but put it on the back of the bag instead of on the stole.
The words are quilted in with free motion quilting, not embroidered.
Here's the whole stole with the bag to keep it in.
I quilted in a vine with two shades of green Aurifil 28 wt. thread.
The reverse is a purple batik.
I'm linking up with other Friday finishers.

What a wonderful thing to make for the church. I love the idea of the gift of quilting as a way to honor our Lord! Beautiful.
