I've received some lovelies in the mail lately.
A trio of fruit and vegetable fabric from Riel
and some Oakshott scraps from Cindy.
And then I bought 75 cents worth of vintage fabric bits at a recent show.
You can see the squares were traced around a cardboard template.
Here's the whole range of stuff -- hexagons, diamonds, circles, and squares.
Most are cotton, some are polyester or blends.
Not sure what I'll make with these,
but I'm going to use some of those fun vintage prints.
And here is the biggest fabric gift of all.
Fabric from India to make an outfit.
The green is silk, the embroidered panel is cotton and sil,
and I think the green scarf is just cotton.
Here's the back of the embroidered piece,
with tissue paper on the back to stabilize it.
If you live in or near Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
please stop by the MCC Quilt Show and Sale this weekend,
where my mother and I are the feature quilters.
I'd love to say hello!
I'm linking up to the Needle and Thread Network.
