Two coloured binding and a little more quilting

Yesterday I was binding my flannel quilt,
but found I didn't have enough of any fabric to bind it.
I used Cheri's tutorial on making a stitched in corner binding,
although I modified it slightly, and sewed all the strips on
before mitering the corners.
You can see the results above.
Another note: I noticed that I consulted this tutorial four years after Cheri posted it.
I probably bookmarked it back then, and now I'm finally using the technique.
Other than a little careful measuring, it's quite straightforward.
Pop over to see Cheri and say hello.

I also quilted arcs or canoes, or maybe even kayaks (?)
into the centre of the flannel squares
and left the ties in.

I think the minimal quilting doesn't take away
from the coziness of the quilt,
and now I'm confident it will hold together
after washing.

Oh my goodness! So glad that tutorial is being put to good use -- I still use that binding method almost all the time.
Your quilt is looking good with the arcs in the squares!

That quilt looks so cozy since you did not overquilt it. Congrats on the finish!
