My circa 1970 baby doll, wearing new duds.
My mother wanted to give away a life-sized baby doll to a little girl
who recently moved to Canada from Bolivia and had to leave her dolly behind.
The doll she had (not mine pictured here) came unclothed from a yard sale,
and my mother used it to model a lacy crocheted dress not appropriate for play.
So I got out the bright flannels, some already pre-cut into squares
and made a layette.
Here's my doll modelling the patchwork blanket,
two bright diapers (with red velcro) at the right
and a fun polka dot nightgown.
That same fabric is on the back of the blankee.
This was a little fun Labour Day sewing
which I hope will brighted a little girl's day.

What a wonderful surprise for that little girl! It has been too long since I made doll quilts, what size did you use?
