20 shades of grey and a KISS

And a little red. This is my first layout for a 60 inch square throw to be donated to a fund-raiser at my husband's office. I'm cutting 12.5 inch squares of my b/w prints, and DH suggested a little red. I'm trying to make it appeal to the most number of people. I'm thinking simple quilting lines, plus some cuddly minkee or fleece on the back. Other years I've made smaller, fiddly stuff, but I was thinking a simple couch throw would be easy. But this picture shows me that lots of my b/w prints are reading as lights or mediums.
I'm going to keep playing, but I'm hoping to keep it simple, aka KISS rule.
