These bags are airborne with DS1,
who left this morning on a three-week school trip to the Middle East.
They were encouraged to bring something kitschy Canadian for gifts,
so I made these bags.
(But I don't think they're kitschy.)
This happens to be my only sewing in a week,
due to the injured pinky finger on my right hand.
The bruise has faded and it's healing nicely
although still a bit tender.
Thanks for all your concern.

No kitsch in sight, Brenda, these are lovely and so much nicer to get something useful! Safe travel to both son and gifts!
Cute
sorry for your injury.
Very cute, and not kitschy at all. I think useful is a Good Thing for a gift. At least when it's as cute as these are!
Glad to hear your finger is healing. That's no fun to have a boo-boo like that, especially if it means you can't do much sewing. :(
These will be great to exchange. my daughters went to World Youth Day and the trading stuff was what they remembered most. They took pins and postcard books of our area. I was working 60 hours a week and had no time to craft, but they traded easily and quickly. We have Italian scarves and some French stuff. That has to be 20 years ago and they still have all the stuff.
