A dig through the solids box and a bit of fun with my new 60 degree diamond ruler
resulted in four string stars
Here's a larger view, with black diamonds between the stars.
I've figured out how to do the Y seams
but I'm not sure how I get all these diamonds into a rectangle shape.
I'm linking up with design wall Mondays over at Patchwork Times.

Omg that is going to be fabulous.
WOW! I am loving your blog!
glen: thanks for sending me here, why have I not done this before?
Oh...I love your stars!!!
Your stars look great!
WOW! this is so pretty. I've been contemplating a quilt like this - thanks for the inspiration! I have the fabric and the ruler, now to find the time - LOL! Happy stitching!
Your stars are lovely! Look at some tumbling block patterns for ideas for carrying your diamonds out to a square edge.
beautiful. I was just thinking about 60degree diamonds this morning, and considering making the triangles instead to avoid those Y's...
These look great! They remind me of your spider web quilt.
Looks good, I like the black with the other bright solids.
That is beautiful
This is really fabulous. How did you get on with the seams?
