The baby up the street isn't quite ready to hatch,
but the little chickie already has a quilt.
I finished one of the chicken and egg quilts on the weekend with simple wavy quilting lines
and backed it with yellow minkee
Some of my free motion quilting isn't fabulous
(Yes, I see the wrinkles above the green chicken)
but the chick's parents are thrilled.
Apparently the expectant mom is into chickens.
And they loved the quilt
and said they would use it as their stroller blanket.
So I'll get glimpses of the quilt warming my new little neighbour
as she or he is strolled down the street in the new year..

it's so cute!
i once heard that every quilt is one wash away from being perfect :)
That is an adorable quilt!
The quilt is adorable Brenda! Love it! ;)
I love your chick quilt. How does the Minki work for quilting. Do you have troubles keeping straight lines (that's all I'm up to doing, at this point) when you go over the heavier spots? It is a luxurious feel for a backing. Does it shed alot during the sewing? How does it compare (sewing wise) to batting and backing? You would still need to baste, I'm guessing.
Good Job!
Hugs!

It's adorable, and I don't see any wrinkles at all. Neither will the baby!
