Be still

I've posted before about this banner of free-pieced letters that I made for my church.
It's made of batiks and hand quilted in a vine pattern.

Last Sunday it was officially blessed as part of a dedication for the new prayer room.
It hung from the pulpit during most of the service
(yes, the last word is hidden here.)

And then it was hung in the new prayer room, which is the door at the right of the photo above. 




The room was painted and decorated around the green/blues and taupes in the banner.
The (ugly) green carpet figures prominently in these photos.
We all know it has to go, but it hasn't happened yet.

Anyway, it's nice to see a project that was so long in the making finally hanging in its new home.
