Barbie, buttons, and me

For the second time in two weeks.
I've had to clear our my sewing space for home repairs.
This time, I had to clean out the closet so
the repair guy can get into the attic.
(The good news is that I found the case for my Elna, pictured at the left.)

I'm off to a retreat tomorrow, so my Juki is resting in the dining room
until I can pack it up.
For those of you with the same machine, what kind of case do you use to carry this beast?

I found these doll-sized notions (from 1969) in my sewing closet.
Teeny buttons, belt buckles, and zippers,
perfect for clothes for Barbie and all her friends.
Anyone else remember sewing with these?

I have the Babylock equivalent of your Juki and I use one of the wheeled machine cases if I have to transport it.

I have some of those Barbie zippers and buttons too and I haven't made Barbie clothes for over 20 years, and probably closer to 30 years.

Oh wow, you have a real treasure there! I think these vintage barbie sewing notions are quite valuable. I wish I had some of these, too, for my vintage Baribe collection. Lucky you!
Have fun at the retreat!

Nothing like a huge clear out to help you find things.

I'd lost my chalk wheel for months. Finally found it lurking at the bottom of the floss box after sorting colours.

I'd check the prices on those Barbie notions. I gather they are a collector's item.

I bet you were doing a lot of "so that is where that was" and "would you look at that" while cleaning out your closet!! LOL!
Been there done that with the itty bitty Barbie notions... Don't miss working with them either, cause I recall much frustration! ha!!
I haven't a clue how to transport a big machine, but good luck with that! 8-)
Have a great weekend!
