Barbara Brackman and me

For the past year, I've been working on this modern floral quilt as a joint project with my mother.
We cut into our hand dyed stash and made a variety of flowers

based on this simple pattern I saw on Barbara Brackman's website.

I sent her a photo of our project

and today she's featured this quilt in progress on her blog, along with a bit of history. check it out!

Absolutely lovely. And I didn't realize your mother had a blog, too! I shall have to come calling!

Great to hear that you were able to make this project a success with your mom. I think you both did an amazing job with the hand dyed stash and the flowers. Keep up the good work! All the best to you and your mother! :)
