Thanks for your help

Thanks for all your comments on how to proceed with this quilt. Many of you said less is more and just to bind it. I tend to agree, and not only because I'm running out of time. I took Tonya's suggestion and turned it upside down to put the solid spiky border on the bottom. Yes, I've simply turned the picture here, but in reality, I did add a little piece to the bottom left to square off the quilt. I got distracted yesterday by piecing letters for a quote for the back. Today I'm thinking all those seam allowances make for bad hand quilting conditions, so I'm just going to use a plain backing instead. gotta run.... basting calls!

looks wonderful. i do like it better turned this way. good luck with the hand quilting! I always use as few seams as possible on the back when doing that too.
