....to make a few challenge squares.A few weeks ago Lynne from Patchery Menagerie posted a dress she had made from this Alexander Henry pear and apple fabric. My guild challenge for this month was the word "pear" and whatever that evoked for us. She generously send me scraps from her project and in return I'm sending her this needlebook and scissors case (sorry, those are my scissors, and I'm not sending them) made from selvages from Joyce, lined with scraps from BumbleBeans (just to pass on the bloggy goodness). And the wool felt inside is from a giveaway I won at the C and T Publishing blog.
Aren't these fun? Joyce gave me really long selvages and I like all the dots. Thanks to all of you for sharing with me.
And now to my challenge blocks. Heather was asking for pear inspired blocks. I made some words that sound the same first: a pair of pears, sort of.
and here's the whole bunch, including two from Lynne's fabrics, framed with scraps from BumbleBeans. Thanks everyone for your help!

Great to see what happens when quilters co-operate!
You made some great interpretations of pear, both visually and verbally.
