Months ago, I cut into my stash of hand dyes to make a series of little quilts. I cut circles from some and backgrounds from others and put them together. These little quilts (8.5 by 11 inches) became my take-along project to guild meetings and orthodontist apointments. I wanted to practice my hand applique skills and I like hand quilting on small projects. I finished them months ago, and now finally took pictures. At left my favourite, with lots of different sizes of circles.
This other blue one has lots of hand quilted circles on it. Other than a few straight lines, all the quilting was freehand.
Here's all of them. I'm going to hang them in my front hallway, which has yellow-gold walls.

Very nice. I particularly like the blue one with the green circle and blue ones in front. It has great depth and the background is amazing.
I particularly like the one with many circles also. Did you do the hand dyes yourself?
