Can Sew
So I had a bit of minor surgery last week and although I feel fine, I can't lift, can't push, can't pull. That pretty much eliminates any sort of housework and even Christmas baking, but I can sew. At least I can in little bits. This weekend I strip pieced selvages and orphan blocks into four tea cozies. I've pictured back and front here side by side. The selvage ones at the right used up some of the selvage nine patch blocks I'd made earlier and the one at the top left are extra wide selvages of mostly Kaffe fabrics that were in the box of scraps I won from Bumble Beans.

Your tea cozies look wonderful! You used up a lot of selvages. I'm glad that you can still sew in short bursts. (That's all I can do right now too.) As long as we can get our sewing "fix", it's all good, huh?
Sorry to hear that you can't do any housework. *grin* But it is a shame about the baking. I hope you're soon back to yourself, and that you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!
Your tea cosys are beautiful; it's amazing what you can do with those selvages! Hope you feel better soon!
Love tea cozies! Great job and what fun for those who receive them! P.S. Heal quickly, grow in strength, and come back better than ever! *Happy Holidays*
Hope you are healing up quickly and will be back at your usual activities soon. Enjoy the break from housework though.
I hope that you are feeling better! Lovely tea cozies.
Love the selvage tea cozies! And I hop eyou feel better soon. There's no better way to recover than by a little sewing. Merry Christmas!
Your tea cozies are great. I hope you are feeling better after your surgery. Take care of yourself and don't over do things.
