The extra hour was worth it

I used the extra hour yesterday to sew, puzzling out how to put the houses and words and trees together in the Advice from Home quilt. This picture of it lying on my sewing room floor shows it sewn together (mostly) in rows. It went together surprisingly well. I have to square up the components before I sew the five rows together, and then I'll figure out a border.
Blogger tells me this is my 100th post. see the one below for my giveway in honour of that landmark. Since I'm a scrap quilter, I'm giving away a big bag of scraps, plus a quilt top.

your words of advice is turning out really well. I love the fabric you used for the large house centre bottom -- the triangles running along the eve are a wonderful accent...

Just wonderful! I love the little details -- rickrack trim, interesting fabrics, and of course the words. Wouldn't it be great to have an extra hour every day?

Love it! There is so much character to that project! It is wonderful seeing it all come together!
Just out of curiosity, will it be a wall-quilt, or a bed quilt?

It looks wonderful - like it was all meant to go together - sometimes I think these liberated quilts can look kind of hodge podge but this is just great! I need to get back to my free pieced letter border....
