For my 100th post next week, I'm giving away things for you to repurpose. At left is a very green star top I made at a workshop on values four years ago, and I've never gotten it past the flimsy stage. Somehow, the lack of contrast just didn't do it for me, even though I'm a green person. It's quilt shop quality fabric, and measures 36 inches square. I even have binding fabric to include. Below are some of the scraps I'm ready to pass-along -- some are scraps of scraps Quilt Pixie gave me, others are oldies but goodies from my mother. The contents of this scrap pile may change and grow before the giveaway ends, but it should fill a large ziplock bag.
To enter, leave a comment with your email address or blog link telling me how you would repurpose either the quilt top or the scraps. I'll draw two names next Friday, Nov. 7. Thanks for visiting.

hi brenda.........i guess on the green peice i might redo it into a narrow table runner of some sort...i reaaly like the shades....maybe add some cheddar color for fall or red for christmas
Hey, I'd use the scraps to make either words or wonky stars. I'm just about ready to start something wonky.
I would use that gorgeous green square and add multiple (pieced) borders to make the finished piece large enough to use as a table topper on our kitchen table - it would look FABULOUS there! The walls are a soft buttery yellow and that green fits right in with the other organic colors in that part of the house (and yes, there is always a quilted table topper on our kitchen table).
OOPS - I had been helping my friend update her Picasa photo albums and forgot to switch back to my own profile! The comment about turning the green square is really mine... OOPS!
I would use the scrap back for the quilts my guild make for Quilts of Valor
I am always on the lookout for scraps for Project Linus quilts, I try to make two each month, so I go through lots of scraps.

Hello Brenda. I'm Gloria from Argentina and I arrived to your blog because I love Tonya style and I visit frecuently the Quiltville web page, You are among my favourites links because I like all the quilts you make with scraps..so with the scraps I'd make letters or houses, and with the green quilt top, I'd make a tabletopper..hugs...Gloria

don't enter me into the contest, just wanted to say congrats on the blogiversary. I am soooo happy you started blogging - I adore you and I adore your blog.
My daughter is into hair fashion so we would use to make fashion scarfs for the head or anything to use to make a fashion statement!
I would take the green square and make it a center medallion for a quilt. I would be "liberated" with what I would put around it, but I think it would be great fun to create something cool - and I've never made a medallion quilt!
Congrats on the blogiversary.
I know what I'd do with those gorgeous scraps. I'm itching to make another crumbly quilt, probably log cabin style, and they'd definitely be incorporated.
how you would repurpose either the quilt top or the scraps
Well I would definitely add black to the greeen piece .... maybe make it into a table cloth.
The scraps I'd make coin, string and/or crumb quilts. OR maybe piece them all together into a very unusual back.
Nothing will be lost ....
Congrats on our 100th post!!!
I think I would add some floral applique to that lovely flimsy of your's, and use it as a wall-quilt. The colors would work well in my living-room. 8-)
As for the scraps, I would add them into my scarps and attempt to make a scrappy quilt... I have to learn to work outside the box a bit... 8-)
Good luck to the winners, and happy stitchings to all!
I love, love scraps. I see so many possibilities when people give me stacks of scraps!
The medallion is beatiful, too. Not very scrappy!

Happy 100th post!
I'd repurpose the square by adding a border and then quilting it for a table topper.
The scraps....I'm a very new quilter. I'm also determined to free motion quilt. I'd use the scraps to practice my rotary and piecing skills and then either make doll quilts for my neices. It'd give me an opporunity to try several things I have not tried before but on a smaall scale. I don't think it'd be overwhelming that way! I really like the orange with all the numbers on it and the bits of pinks I see....and there looks like to be a geometric in the lower left corner that looks intersting too!
congrats on your 100th post!! love your blog and ideas.
I am definitely a scrap lover. I could cut the scraps into various size squares, strips, bricks and strings and use them in my future projects. I love using scraps for paper piecing, crumb blocks, crazy blocks and borders.
The green star is just lovely - it could be a medallion for a quilt. Place the block on point and add log cabin blocks around it done in beige/cream for the light side and various medium greens for the dark side.
I am new to bloggin but check out my blog .. http://scrappy-quilter.blogspot.com/ check it out and give me hints and tips to improve it.
ThankS!
All the things I like best, a star, a GREEN star, and scraps! What could be better. Congratulatons on your milestone.
Congratulations on your Centennial post! I envision the green star as a medallion. I think I'd take off the outer row of HSTs, add a outer row border of green-with-something (red? pink? yellowgreen? or multi floral or???), repiece the removed HSTs into pinwheels, and, hmm, keep going.
One online group has an annual bag-of-blocks swap in which we get someone else's blocks to set; the top is returned to that person (and in turn we send out blocks and get them back). It's a great way to spur creativity and I am still jazzed from what I did and I what I received.
Ohh, I just found you in time. I just attended a Bonnie Hunter workshop, and bought her new book, so you know I will be able to use your scraps. I would make a table topper with the star quilt: we use a small square table and quilts look wonderful on it. thanks
Put me in the drawing please! I'm making a log cabin quilt and would love the fun fabrics you're offering.
Hello Brenda:
Congratulations on your 100th post. I love your house/trees/words of wisdom quilt top. It is coming together quite nicely.
Please enter me in both giveaways. I am a scrap quilter, also. Your scraps would become parts of other quilts that I would send along their way. If I won the green star, I must admit I would repurpose it to myself. I like star designs and it would look very nice in my living room.
Thank you for this opportunity to participate in your giveaway.
