This crib sized comforter cover was made for my mother sometime in the early 1940s, to the best of her recollection. She says it was purchased from three sisters in her village who made quilts for sale. Usually they were hand pieced, but this one is machine pieced. It is very scrappy, as you can see, with the green print unifying the project. It's very worn in places, but the seams are holding together. Does anyone have a name for the block?

I am not sure the official block name but I think that it has been referred to as a square in a square block.
I love your liberated stars in the previous post. It will make a very pretty quilt.
