Quilt Pixie I've had fun today making crumb blocks. These blocks are made mostly from leftover strips and bits from the
River quilt I made with my son's grade 4, 5 , and 6 class at school last winter. I kept all the bits and strips in a bag, and now I have 25 blocks finishing at 6 inches. I'm deciding whether to make a 60 by 80 donation quilt using alternating crumbs/solids, or sewing these together and putting on several borders for a 42 inch square baby donation quilt.

very fun. I love the little hints of bright orange.
Some crumby days are better than others. Looks like this was a good one.
what about sewing the crumbs into a long strip and cutting them for borders around a centre? I've found it a great way to use crumbs cause you can just cut the strip whatever length you need, no need to worry about it being a full block length...
