This is my mother's tile quilt which also hung at the Barnswallows show this weekend. She's a dyer, and showcased her fabrics and fine piecing skills with this quilt. Take a look at those quarter inch coloured squares at the intersections.
Here's the whole thing. The funny thing is this is the third show for this quilt, but the first time its been hung. The other two venues only showed it folded on a table, so she was determined to have it hung in all its glory this year, and I got great photos as a result.

That was one of the most impressive quilts in the show. I admired it last year folded but it's even better hung. I couldn't get over those tiny perfect squares at the intersections. The colours are even more amazing in person.
its a great pattern to highlight those wonderful hand dyes... very reminiscent of stained glass :-)
oh my goodness, this is a gorgeous quilt. WOW. love the colors, and how your mom placed them. you are so lucky to have such a fun, creative mom. those hand-dyes are wonderful and the greens look great! I can't see why she'd ever give them away.

This is an awesome quilt-is this from a pattern? I love the colors!
Wow! What a stunning quilt! It looks like a stained glass window - no wonder she wanted it hung! And exquisite piecing too. What a talented mom you have!
I agree with Sharon. It looks like a stained glass window. Beautiful bright, vibrant colors. And you get to shop at Mom's house. How lucky you are!
