Baby, it's a finish for Friday!

I have a small but vital finish for this week.

I made a just-in-case baby quilt
for the next time I need one at short notice.

It's a simple two-sided quilt,
with the quilting design inspired by the lines and squiggles on the yellow side.

I free motioned lines and loopy flowers in yellow.
I'm going to try this technique with some other patterned fabrics,
practicing my fmq skills, using up stash,
and making a giveaway quilt
all in one project.

Here's a shot of both sides.

And here's a better idea of the quilting.

From start to end of binding, this took two hours.
It measures 36 by 40.

I'm linking up with Sarah and Amanda.

I love simple little quilts and this is so sweet for baby. They're not only fun to make but great gifts and perfect for "just in case." Love the quilting too.
