At my guild meeting last week,
some of us traded unwanted stuff from our sewing rooms.
I got these Tri Recs rulers and the red and green fabrics.
I decided to make Christmas tree table runners
with the fabric, adding in a bit variety in the trees.
And yes, I see the problem in the top runner.
I'm going to unpick it and rearrange the trees in the top row
so the two rick rack trees aren't opposite each other.
Out there in blogland today, other folks are playing with these rulers
Seems I've ahead of the curve this time!
At our guild meeting,
A. showed off a two-colour quilt she finished this summer,
but not before breaking the throat-plate on her vintage Husqvarna.
Oops. But she found a replacement and kept going.
C.'s commissioned toddler quilt, with the backing fabric she's considering.

The pink(?) wood grain fabric is really cool. I have been quilting wood grain all day, so it has a very familiar feel.)
Your tree runners are great!
Free is always nice. So is getting new things to play with.
The modern tree quilt-a-long looks fun! I have the rulers, so I might have to join in. Thanks for the link ... I like your idea of the tablerunner :)
oh, love the commissioned child's quilt! right up my colorway..and yes, everything old is new again to the modern generation of new quilters, it's quite amusing as they "discover" new blocks that go way back in quilt history :-)
