Pondering how to quilt this

Straight stitching?
Feathers?
another curvy pattern?
Lots of quilting or minimal quilting?
And what colour?
White? Light grey?

Thanks for weighing in.

I'm linking up with Design Wall Mondays.

What about a soft purple/lavender thread (to pick up and play with the colors in the piecing and back?

What kind of vibe do you want the quilt to give off? If comforting then feathers. If strongly graphic/modern then minimal straight lines.

For regular use or display?

I'm visualizing my design idea, but describing it in less than a tome is difficult. With the white or light grey thread, straight lines shadowing the blocks and strips, but which change directions randomly, at right angles mostly, just slightly wonky, for the body of the quilt. Think of shadowing gone crazy, with a bit of angular almost-meander, kind of a Greek key design with ADHD. For the border and other long white areas: Long, slightly and randomly wavy, parallel lines that occasionally cross, like long seaweed waving in the water. Maybe some crosshatching here and there through those lines; straight, wavy, or wonky--whatever feels right. Are you sorry you asked now? ;)

Keeping this comment short - I love the quilt and if it was mine I would go with straight line stitching from top to bottom. But then I do like simple quilting and let the fabric and design show up.
