I saw Jill's post about her friend Dorothy's Snappy 9-patches
and I took a few minutes over lunch to try this speed technique.
Basically, you start with two contrasting squares and sew them together on opposite sides,
and then cut, sew, sew and trim and sew.
I used 3 inch squares instead of 9 inches, but any squares easily divisible by three works.
My blocks finish at 1.5 inches, and they are more accurate in real life than they look in the photo.

That is an interesting technique! Tho it only makes
the two blocks at a time, but nice that the blocks are opposites of each other... Using smaller starting blocks, I suspect that sewing them is a bit trickier and pressing would make them look more 'equal'. Thanks for the link and bit of how to!
