I'm planning an aqua with purple quilt for a gift.
Not necessarily my colours, but the ones requested.
So I went hunting in my stash for some possibilities.
Turns out my DS Quilts fabric have lots of aqua
and anything by Kaffe seems to have purple.
So I could shop the stash and not head off to the fabric store.
I'm off to a retreat in four days (yeah!)
and this is one of the projects I'm planning to do.
I'm cutting scraps and a bit of yardage in aquas and purples
into components for this Grecian cross block.
My test block doesn't show it,
but my plan is to introduce the purples in the corner triangles.
Stay tuned!
I'm linking up my Monday design wall with Judy.

Off to a great start, Brenda! Purple and aqua are two of my favourite colours, so I'm loving this quilt already.
Which retreat are you going to? My goal in 2014 is to connect more with local quilters, and perhaps take in a retreat even...

Love the aquas. I recently finished a aqua/purple/grey baby quilt too
This is super lovely.
Awesome that you can shop your stash!!
Have fun at the retreat . . .
Pretty. Blues and greens are such a fresh combination and purple with be the sparkle! :o) I have a hoard of DS fabric. I shall be shopping my stash this year for certain.
wonderful color combination and yes, the right amount of aqua :-)
Just the right amount of aqua, I'd say. Have fun prepping for your retreat! I could use one myself as I'm not sure where to start and what to do next quiltwise. Nothing sets your mojo off like the prospect of uninterrupted quiltingtime with friends!
I'm loving the sound of your colour scheme. Enjoy your retreat :)
