Does this need more aqua?

I'm having second thoughts about this flimsy.
Right now it measures about 50 by 64.

I made it from scraps of Julia Rothman Type fabric

I used text fabrics to continue with the theme of the scraps.

This doesn't have a home yet,
but I'm committed to making an aqua (and purple) single quilt
for a family member.

So I'm wondering if I should find some of the aqua typewriter key fabric
for borders and call it an aqua quilt?
I'm thinking the backing would be purple, to meet the requested colour scheme.

I'm linking up with Judy at Patchwork Times.

I love aqua right now, so I'd probably add more. Love what you've done so far!

If the theme is aqua and purple, then yes - add the aqua (maybe not the exact same fabric, but aqua, nonetheless).

How do you feel about ripping things out? I would be tempted to replace the neutral-looking text fabric in the upper right corner of the quilt with something aqua for an undeniably aqua (and purple) quilt.

An aqua border would certainly give it a finished look, and tie everything together. I'm thinking it might need some balance, though. Seems heavier on the left side. Maybe a purple border on the right, and aqua on the left. So far it looks great, though.

I like the aqua border suggestion. Purple would work good as well if you could throw some aqua in the top left corner...seems a little heavy. Will look terrific whichever way you go.
