In galaxy far away

So with several metres of vintage double knit polyester from Value Village
a little sparkly bias tape
and a pattern from 1967

This mom went where many have gone boldly before,
with the help of Ann Person
and a vintage S-T-R-E-T-C-H & SEW pattern.

DS2 as Captain Kirk

Really, this fabric and pattern date right back to the time of Star Trek.
Turns out they were just in style
and not so far ahead of their time.

And for the record,
it's the easiest costume I ever made:
serging a few seams, attaching a few cuffs and a neckband.

Way to get your "nerd" on...my daughter was Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd...she HAS to learn to sew before next year...

Handsome Captain Kirk...congratulations!

Wow, you win for making such a GREAT costume! What fun! Your DS looks so "cool". Good thing you found gold fabric and not red!
