Silk strings again

I know I've shown this one before, but it's one of my favourites
so I'm posting it again.
I have a tutorial on how to make the curved strings here.

I made this from silk noile scraps from an outfit I made 20 years ago.
The front and back are all silks, so it was fun to hand quilt.

I'm linking up with Repro Quilt Lover's doll and small quilt linky party.

Makes me think of the motion of a boat when the waters are not completely calm--and not in a bad way. : ) I love that gentle rocking motion. Very pretty!

Lovely quilt. I can see it over and over again. Love the one in the previous post too. So happy!

What a great little quilt! Interesting technique on the silk strip piecing. If I ever find myself with silk strings, I will try this. Do you think it will work with silky synthetics too?

Wow! Love this quilt. So simple, but with such impact. It must be gorgeous in person, with those silks.
