I put together a girlie baby quilt top this weekend, starting at 9 p.m. Friday,
piecing the top well before midnight,
basting it the next day and quilting it on Sunday.
Although it has a pastel appearance from far away
close up there's a lot more going on, with the swirls and ripples
of the dots in this Mark Lipinski print I had in my stash.
I only had half a metre (20 inches) of each colour,
and after I cut a binding from all three colours, I'll be totally out of fabric.
I quilted in lots of feathers and paisleys, and made paisley feathers
in the green borders,
and feather wreaths in the corner squares.
Now it needs squaring up, a binding, and it's done!
anyone want cutting directions?

That is adorable AND QUICK---I would love instructions. :D
Looks great Brenda, did the centre just puff up after you put the white bias on or did you applique another pink centre over? Nice job with the finishing.
That is an amazing quilt ... at first glance it looks like it is knitted/crocheted. Lucky baby getting this one.
